Dimapur, November 20 2015 :
The NSCN-IM today said that political negotiation between NSCN-IM and Government of India (GoI) has made GoI recognize the unique history and situation of Nagas on July 11, 2002 at Amsterdam, "which means that Nagas were never a part of India either by consent or by conquest" .
According to a statement issued by the NSCN-IM, both parties mutually agreed that there is need for an early political solution leading to the signing of the Framework Agreement on August 3 this year at New Delhi.
It also said the signed document duly respects and recognises the nature of the Naga history.
It also acknowledges the importance of sharing sovereign powers and the need for peaceful coexistence between the two entities, added the outfit.
The Framework Agreement shows the political wisdom and statesmanship of Naga leadership and GoI under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi, it added.
The NSCN-IM further said that after the historic Framework Agreement was signed between the GoI and the NSCN on August 3, 2015, the NSCN led by General Secretary Th Muivah returned to Dimapur on August 12 and at the airport announced that it is keeping its doors open to every factions in the true spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation .
"Again on September 30, 2015 Isak Chishi Swu in his message to the Naga people made a fervent appeal to let bygones be bygones and come together in the name of Christ so that Nagas can chart out together our common future based on the historical and political rights of the Nagas," the NSCN-IM stated.
"However, in view of the need to clarify certain areas for the good of the Naga people, this press statement is issued.
Therefore, we earnestly urge Naga people to be cautious against rumours aimed at sabotaging what is being worked out as best for the Naga people.
History will judge those who attempt to polarize Naga issue and her people for vested interest," it added.
Meanwhile, ridiculing its rival NSCN-Khole-Kitovi group's 8th Naga Unification Anniversary celebration by Khehoi campers slated on November 22, the NSCN-IM said the "breakaway group" under the shadow of darkness stole Naga Government arms and ammunition, documents, vehicles, money including Church generator to form the group.
Under the shelter of unification they created one more faction to the already faction infested Naga political arena.
The agenda to the proposed program as reported from the newspaper is to discuss the 3rd August 2015 Framework Agreement in its own imagination and liking.
Such unnecessary drama to mislead and confuse the Naga people at this most crucial juncture is tantamount to reflecting their negative attitude and approach to the Naga political issue and the peace process.
"This indicates a clear bankruptcy of policies, visions and showcase political childishness", added the statement.
According to the NSCN-IM, the decision of the joint council meeting of the Khehoi campers as published on August 5, 2015 in the newspapers shows that they are no longer fighting for the rights of the Naga Nation but are reduced to seeking positions in the puppet Nagaland State.
This in itself says that they don't have any rights to say anything on Naga National issue.
"What good things can Nagas expect from those whose survival depends on fooling the Nagas in the sweet name of Unification devoid of any National political ideology," the NSCN-IM added.
