Thoubal IMA celebrates 27th Foundation Day

The Thoubal District United Women's Development Organisation (Thoubal IMA) celebrated its 27th foundation today at Thoubal Melaground Community Hall.
It was attended by UCM president, YK Dhiren Meetei as chief guest, Thoubal IMA president, Sapam Bimola as president and All Manipur Women's Social Reformation & Development Sarnaj (Nupi Samaj) president Thokchom Ramani, AMKIL president, Lourembam Nganbi, All Manipur Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup (TAMMI CHINGMI) president, Yambem Momon, Ereipak Enat Chanura Loinasinlon (EECHAL) president, Tongbram Ibemcha, United Peoples' Front (UPF) Manipur president, Nongthongbam Rupachandra, National Identity Protection (NIPCO) president, Oinam Premjit, CADA president, Hijam Priyokumar, MAPI Council president, KC Romeo, Nongpok Leingak Apunba Nupi Lup (NLANL) president, Yumlembam Mema, NIMPAL president, Thingbaijam Ibeyaima and Apunba Nupi Lup (ANUL) Bishnupur president, Lourembam Pramo as guests of honour.
Speaking at the event, YK Dhiren Meetei said the culture of undermining and demeaning one another has hindered development in Manipur.
"Manipur is marred by various issues including drugs and illegal immigration.
To bring about positive changes and resolve the issues, civil society organisations and Meira Paibis have been working and leading in the front.
However, disunity among us has threatened to shatter the idea of Manipur.
It is now time for all to introspect the problems within, else the society will be in ruin," said Dhiren.
He urged people to participate in a public convention of the COCOMI scheduled to be held on May 3 at Imphal.
