RPF denies police claim

Imphal, January 20: The RPF has categorically rejected police claim of branding one Thangjam Bimolchand alias Satish (32) s/o Ibotombi as the banned organisation's education and FCS project officer.

In a statement issued by the assistant chief of RPF's department of communication and publicity, the armed group clarified that Bimolchand is neither a PLA cadre nor related to the outfit in any manner.

A police statement issued on January 18 had claimed that Bimolchand, who was picked up by a team of Thoubal district police commandos from a Pureiromba Nongpok Ingkhol residence on January 16 was the project officer of the RPF/PLA responsible for the affairs of education and FCS.
