Imphal, March 19 2023: Adhivakta Parishad, Manipur in association with Radio Loktak, 90.4 Mhz observed International Women's Day, 2023 at Uchiwa Leirak Achouba, Imphal West today.

A statement issued by the Adhivakta Parishad, Manipur has shared that celebration was graced by Arunapyari Oinam, National Awardee as the chief guest; Heikhrujam Indrajit Singh, former Pradhan as the functional president and Wangjam Premabi Devi and Thoudam Premila Devi as the guests of honour respectively.

Dr Sanasam Subhamenon Singh, Faculty Member, Manipur University was the resource person of the event.

Five exemplary women social activists namely Asem Memcha Leima, Rajkumari Laijing Lembi Devi, Ningthoujam Pishakmacha Devi, Laishram Jamuna Devi and Athokpam Chaoba Devi of Uchiwa were honoured with a memento and shawl each.

An interaction session on the basics of law also took place, the statement concluded.
