CS inspects public facilities in Chandel

Chandel, October 10 2026: Rajeev Singh Thakur, Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur, visited Chandel district yesterday as part of a field visit to inspect various public facilities, review ongoing developmental activities and assess the functioning of government institutions in the district.

The Chief Secretary was received by Mamoni Doley, Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, along with the Superintendent of Police, Chandel, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), and other district administration officials at PHC Komlathabi.

During the visit at the PHC Komlathabi, the Chief Secretary inspected the Industrial Estate at Salemthar to assess the functioning of healthcare facilities and the progress of industrial development in the district.

He also visited the District Training Centre, Chandel Headquarters, where a tree plantation programme was conducted, and the District Library, Chandel, to review the facilities available to the public.

Later, the Chief Secretary visited the District Hospital, Chandel, and took stock of the healthcare facilities and services provided to the people of the district.

A review meeting with District-Level Officers (DLOs) was subsequently held at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, during which various developmental activities and administrative matters relating to the district were reviewed.

The visit underscored the importance of regular monitoring of public institutions, effective implementation of government programmes and coordinated efforts among departments to ensure improved public service delivery and accelerated development in Chandel District.
