Imphal, July 10 2025:
In a rare medical event, a gallstone measuring 9 cm was removed from a 35-year old woman at Little Clinic through keyhole (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) surgery yesterday.
According to information received from Little Clinic, Nagaram, Imphal, the patient from Imphal East district was admitted yesterday and went through the necessary tests and procedures.
Following this, a team led by Dr Sapam Opendro (onco surgeon) successfully performed the keyhole surgery on the patient and removed the giant gallstone.
