Bpr/Kak/Tbl, July 06 2021: Bharatiya Janata Party, 24-Nambol Mandal celebrated the 120th birth anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh by paying floral tributes at its office premises today.

The floral tributes were paid by BJP Nambol Mandal president, S Brajamani Singh and Th Basanta, IPS (Retired).

As a part of the celebration, a mass tree plantation drive was also carried out at Chaning Leima Hill and power sprayer(power pump) were also distributed to the farmers of the area.

In observance of the birth anniversary of Dr Shyama Prashad Mukherjee, youths of Wathlambi Shantipur led by Kh Nabakumar Singh, Member ICAR Society New Delhi carried out a mass tree plantation at Kumbi Primary Health Centre and Wathlambi Shantipur.

Staff of Kumbi PHC also took part in the drive.

About 200 tree saplings were planted on the day.

Similarly, BJP Khangabok Mandal also celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee today.

During the programme, BJP Khangabok Mandal workers led by State Executive Member BJP Manipur Pradesh, Khundrakpam Menjor Mangang paid floral tributes to a portrait of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

BJP Khangabok Mandal vice president, Dr Khundrakpam Romenkumar Singh; BJP Khangabok Mandal incharge, FM Islaudin; BJP Thoubal District secretary, MD Nasir Khan and BJP Thoubal OBC Morcha general secretary, Khundrakpam Sangkar Singh also attended the programme.

Moreover, Kakching AC MLA, Mayanglam Rameshwar and BJP Kakching Mandal also observed Balidan Diwas and the 120th birth anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee by carrying out a plantation drive at Laiching Hill in Kakching AC.

The programme was participated by BJP Kakching Mandal president, Sh Shyamjai along with the workers of BJP and Covid-19 Task Force members.
