Proposal for compensation claim invited from conflict affected ex-BSF personnel

Imphal, December 04 2025: All ex-BSF personnel who lost their property during the ethnic violence in Manipur have been notified to submit a self contained proposal for grant of compensation to the Welfare and Rehabilitation Board (WARB) for consolidation and further submission to MHA for consideration.

In a notification issued on Thursday, the SHQ BSF CI (Ops) Manipur advised all the affected individuals to submit their compensation claims, in a prescribed format, along with supporting documents, including personal details, details of property loss, proof of identity (Aadhaar card, voter ID or any valid Government-issued ID), proof of Ex-servicemen status (discharge certificate or pension payment order), proof of property ownership (land deeds, property tax receipts, utility bills or mutation records) .

The affected individual should also submit an FIR- a copy of the FIR lodged with local police regarding the incident.

Alternatively, a certificate from local authorities (such as village head or district official) validating the incident may be accepted.

A notarized affidavit by the claimant confirming that the loss of property was due to the Manipur ethnic violence, the claim is genuine and has not been submitted elsewhere, all documents submitted are true and correct to the best of their knowledge, and a photographic evidence (if available) - visual documentation of the damaged property, residence, or premises, should also be submitted.

Besides the above, any other relevant information or documents that need to be incorporated may also be submitted with the claim forms to the "Nodal Officer (Commandant Ops), SHQ CI Ops, Manipur Sector", through nearby Companies, Battalions, or Adhoc Battalions deployed in Manipur and the HQrs/ Units from where they retired.

The last date for submission of claims is 45 days from the date of publication of this notice.

Claims submitted after this period will not be considered.
