Aid pours in for flood affected people

Imphal, July 04 2024:
In a bid to provide a healing touch to those who have been affected by the recent flood, social activist Oinam Romen Singh in collaboration with EC Club provided drinking water to the people of Singjamei Assembly Constituency on Thursday.
Speaking to media persons, Oinam Romen said that the initiative was undertaken to address the acute shortage of drinking water caused by severe flooding in different places of Singjamei AC.
He shared that two jars of drinking water were provided to every affected family as immediate support.

Highlighting that the effort was not driven by political motives, Romen assured that he will continue to provide all possible assistance to support and alleviate the hardships faced by the people in these flooded areas.
Moreover, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch also distributed relief materials to the people affected by the flood in different parts of Imphal West & Imphal East districts on Thursday.
Volunteers of IRCS led by state chairman Narendra Ningomba, vice chairman Dr L Manglem and state treasurer Premjit Naoroibam visited different places severely affected by the flood and handed over the relief materials.
