Even as a new internet service provider is set to begin operation in the State, people are confused with the emergence of various agencies that offer them to erect towers for the said company.
Speaking to reporters in a press conference held at Hotel Classic this evening, CEO of Java Internet Service Pvt Ltd, MA Warsi made clear that the company has given authorisation of erecting towers to M/s JC Kamei for Imphal East and West districts.
For Thoubal and Bishnupur districts, he said, towers would be fixed by M/s Sharma and Sons and Global India Family respectively.
He further informed that the company charge nothing from the concerned individuals for the said purpose.
Sundar Sharma of M/s Sharma & Sons said that it is learnt that some individuals and fake firms are collecting money from different individuals in the name of erecting tower by using fake documents for the said company.
It has created confusion to the public and suspicion to the genuine firms which have got authorisation, he added.
One Kamei of M/s JC Kamei said that land acquisition works have been completed and construction works would be started in Imphal East and West at the earliest.
MA Warsi said that his company will launch the service on coming Monday in Guwahati and would launch the same in Imphal shortly.
With regards to their service, he added, the company would provide high speed Wi-Fi internet service to the customers without using data card and cable.
NE Circle Head Pavan Sharma said, customers may access the facility by installing a software and using a password in their PC, laptop and mobile phone at nominal charge.
Executive Marketing Manager NE Circle Anil Kashyap said that Wi-Fi system, broadband internet, IP phone and BOI IP solution are the main facilities provided by the company.
