MLA extends financial aid to TSE reporter

Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency MLA Khumukcham Joykisan extended monetary assistance to senior staff reporter Sapam Aruna of The Sangai Express who was recently injured in an accident.
The MLA visited the scribe, who sustained a broken arm, at her residence in Soibam Leikai today and handed her the sum to help in her medical treatment.
Wishing the senior reporter a speedy recovery, he expressed hope that she will return to her job soon and continue her service to the public.
Touching upon the prevailing situation in Manipur, he highlighted the importance of people's role in the formation of a popular Government.
He also urged the public to avoid uploading communal posts that can hurt sentiments on social media.
On another note, he said that keeping Manipur's geographical boundary intact does not mean that the State's integrity is uncompromised.
A united Manipur can be achieved only when all indigenous communities exist in harmony with emotional integrity, he added.
He also encouraged all communities to refrain from making provocative statements that can cause unrest.
Regarding the installation of a lift for four-storeyed Manipur Press Club, he said that construction will begin soon to ensure its installation within the month of July.
