'Green Magic' broccoli cultivation secrets shared with farmers on Field Day

Imphal, February 02 2026:
A Farmers Field Day on the scientific cultivation of the broccoli variety 'Green Magic' was successfully held at Andro, Khampokpi, in Imphal East district.
The event was part of the NEC Project on "Integrated Farming System Model demonstration for sustainable economics and livelihood" .
The project, implemented by the Directorate of Extension Education and KVK Imphal East, demonstrated successful production techniques to 42 participating farmers and farm women.
As per a release issued by KVK Imphal East, the Field Day observation was a platform to share knowledge and encourage modern agricultural practices.
The programme was graced by Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma, Director of Extension Education, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, as the chief guest, and Dr I Bhupenchandra, Deputy Director of Extension Education, as the guest of honour.
At the event, Prof Ranjit encouraged farmers to adopt scientific cultivation practices for successful production, emphasizing the importance of selecting recommended and suitable varieties.
Dr Y Prabhabati Devi, Head & Sr Scientist of KVK Imphal East, concluded the event by thanking the farmers for their dedicated efforts in implementing the project and successfully undertaking the demonstration.
