Imphal, June 01: Legislature Wing leader of the Manipur People's Party, O Joy today asserted that chaos and turmoil besieging Manipur at the current juncture is due to wayward political vision.

In his address after inaugurating the MPP's District Committee office at kakching bazar Moirangthem Leikai, Joy remarked that politics is an important ingredient for Nation or State's socio-economic and financial development.

He affirmed that one may prefer safe distance rather than join politics but is an undeniable fact that it is politics around which an individual or mankind revolve.

Iterating that prolong practice of wrong polity is being clearly reflected by the upheavals currently gripping Manipur, Joy said for safeguarding the Manipuris from being consumed by the hegemonic aspiration of India the MPP was formed as a regional political party the shield the State from the schemes of adversaries.

Further proclaiming that survival of a tiny State like Manipur is dependent upon unity and sacrificial spirit of its people, he also opined that only after the State attains economic liberty could the people celebrate India's growth and progress.

Contending that empowering the MPP is a vital element for socio-economic sustenance of Manipur and its development, the Langthabal AC MLA sought cooperation and patronage of the masses in the party's endeavour to guide Manipur towards development.

The District Committee office of the MPP at kakching will cover Sugnu, Wabagai and Hiyanglam assembly constituencies.

Among others the MPP president Dr L Chandramani, former Minister Ksh Irabot, MPP's Youth Front president M Binod and district committee president M Shyamkumar spoke on the socio-economic changes in India and Manipur.
