Senapati, March 01 2025:
Naga People's Organisation (NPO) has voiced strong displeasure over the frequent transfer of top government officials in Senapati district, warning that the practice undermines administrative continuity and public service efficiency.
In a press release issued on behalf of the district's CSOs, the NPO highlighted concerns that high frequency of transfers and postings within the Senapati district administration has disrupted service delivery, created instability among government employees, and caused uncertainty among the public.
Citing recent disruptions, the organisation noted that several key positions have seen multiple transfers within a short period, hampering ongoing projects and policy implementation.
It pointed out that the transfer of two superintendents of police (SP) within just one month was particularly concerning, and noted that the abrupt change created confusion among the public.
The NPO then urged state authorities to review transfer policies and take necessary measures to ensure stability in key administrative positions.
