Imphal, June 30:
One more Zeliangrong organisation has, spewed out its ire against the United Naga CouneiJ (UNC) and the Zeliangrong Boudi (ZB) on Monday.
The Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland has expressed lamentation over the alleged 'working hand in hand' of the UNC with an 'unrecognised Zeliangrong Boudi.' "ZYF-AMN strongly opposed the nature of UNC in working hand in hand with the Zeliangrong Boudi (ZB), which is an unrecognised and self-style organisation led by Ningfangpou Kamei, ex-president ZU (AMN), who was impeached in 2007 by the Zeliangrong public in its convention held at Tamcnglong district headquarters while ignoring intentionally the apex bodv of Zeliangrong tribe-Zeliangrong Union (ZU) by the UNC," stated the ZYF.
The ZYF claimed that the ZU (AMN) is the only apex organisation of Zeliangrong tribe to represent in the UNC and the Naga Hoho as its federal unit.
"This has been practised traditionally in the past and at present.
However, the functionaries of UNC have totally ignored the ZU (AMN) and on the other hand, the UNC is maintaining close tie-up with the Zeliangrong Boudi.
With having proper knowledge the UNC should differentiate between the ZU and ZB and must not randomly go on for favouritism.
The ZU is a people representative of Zeliangrong tribe and the UNC should acknowledge who is the competent or incompetent body," pointed the Youth Front.
The ZYF then urged the UNC to accept and recognise only the nominated representative.
While urging the UNC to 'accept and recognise the only nominated representative from the Zeliangrong Union (ZU) in the July 2 general assembly of the United Naga Council (UNC) at Senapati Hqs.
The ZYF cautions the UNC not to accept the unauthorised persons representing tho Zeliangrong tribe in the July 2 election.
