Human chains demand justice to Tronglaobi, Kasom killings

Imphal, April 26 2026:
Womenfolk formed human chains at different places today demanding justice for victims of the Tronglaobi terror attack and TM Kasom ambush.
Human chains were formed at Kongpal Iranpham Thongkhong, Porompat DC Road, Naharup Thong to Thambalkhong, Pangong Thong to Kongba Nongthongbam Leikai and Bamonkampu Road to Kongba Bazar, Ayangpalli Road.
At the Kongpal Iranpham Thongkhong protest demonstration, Kshetrigao Nupi Lamjing Lup secretary, Pangambam ongbi Anita condemned the "inaction" of the Centre and State Government against Kuki militants.

Even as civilians including children have been killed in terrorist attacks, the Governments have failed to crackdown on the militants, she said.
She also criticised the State leaders for "remaining as mute spectators" and claimed they lack empathy.

incidents and the TM Kasom ambush deserve justice, she said.
The protesters demanded the Government to arrest and bring to justice the perpetrators of the April 7 Tronglaobi attack which killed two children, and the ambush at TM Kasom on April 18 which killed two civilians.
The protesters also raised slogans demanding strict actions against CRPF personnel involved in the April 7 firing on protesters which killed three and injured dozens.
They also raised slogans such as "Go Back Central Force", "Narendra Modi Amit Shah Down, Down", "Kuki Narco-Terrorist Down Down", "End Proxy Ward" etc .
Notably, thousands of protesters marched to the Chief Minister's bungalow yesterday and submitted a memorandum seeking the Government answers to seven specific questions.
The COCOMI has been asking whether the Government will not deliver justice for the terror attack at Tronglaobi and the fatal ambush near TM Kasom on Imphal-Ukhrul road.
