MLA Govindas predicts return of popular Government

Bishnupur, January 25 2026: A popular Government will soon be formed in Manipur, ending President's Rule, said BJP leader and MLA Govindas Konthoujam today.

"The demand for Separate Administration will remain a dream.

A popular Government will soon be formed in Manipur," Govindas said, speaking to party members at his home at Ningthoukhong Bazar.

BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi, several MLAs and party members were gathered at his residence to witness a live broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 130th episode of Mann Ki Baat when Govindas made the statement.

"We want development and prosperity for Manipur.

However, this will come only after violence is stopped, and peace and normalcy is restored.

We must unite to achieve this," Govindas said.

The Prime Minister wants the country to prosper.

"We too must participate in the process," he said.

He said the BJP is the party that will save Manipur.

The Inner Line Permit (ILP) was a gift of the BJP to Manipur, he said, adding "BJP's campaign in Bishnupur must start to win votes" .

He encouraged party members and workers to strengthen the party's foundation at the booth level.

BJP leader A Sharda said "Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat brings closer and unites the people" .

She encouraged party workers to relay and broadcast Mann Ki Baat at their respective booths.

Nambol MLA Th Basanta Kumar, Thanga MLA T Robindro, Kumbi MLA S Premchandra, BJP Bishnupur Mandal president N Raghumani, BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president and Bishnupur district in-charge L Minabanta, vice president Chidananda, general secretary P Premananda and K Sarat among others were present.
