Alleged victim presents her side of story, says no affair
Source: The Sangai Express

Imphal, August 21 2022: ina (name changed) has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the founder cum managing director of Saina Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Dr Yumnam Surjitkumar Mangang after giving her a cold drink which was allegedly mixed with sleeping pills.

Speaking to The Sangai Express, the 21 years old woman, who.

is a second semester student at the institute, also claimed that the founder of the institute threatened her using harsh language after defiling her.

Claiming that two teachers of the institute namely; Sonia Yambem and Laishram Nonibala came to pick her up on August 14 to go for a picnic to Andro at around 1 pm, Bina clarified that she didn't have any affairs with Suijitkumar.

Further claiming that the founder of SIMS was already at the picnic site with some of his friends when they reached Andro but there weren't any other students, Bina continued that she felt uneasy on seeing fhe way the picnic was arranged.

Bina also alleged that Surjitkumar gifted her many items in the past to win her favour and initiate romantic affairs but he started mentally torturing her after she rejected his proposal.

Continuing that the car which she occupied while coming to Andro was taken by the founder of SIMS after having a meal while one Md Wajid brought another car to take her home, Bina maintained that her parents called her at that time as it was getting late.

Bina then claimed that one of the associates of Surjikumar offered her a cold drink and she felt unconscious after drinking it.

Saying that she was taken to a particular house by the two female teachers when she started gaining consciousness and made her sit next to Surjitkumar, Bina added that she, however, couldn't understand what they were gossiping about.

Further claiming that she was taken to a bedroom by some persons and found Suijitkumar next to the bed when she gained consciousness, Bina added that the room had many photos of Md Wajid She said that she didn't make any scene nor shouted for help as she feared for her life.

Alleging that the founder of SIMS started defiling her after locking the door of the room, Bina said that she saw one Meitei Pangal woman when she woke up and found out that she was at Sekmaijin.

She said that she resolved not to make any scene so as to ensure her safety.

Saying that she was taken to Porompat by the family members of Surjitkumar while Surjitkumar threatened her no to make any issue out of it as the 'problem was between the two of them', Bina continued that Surjitkumar told her to do whatever she likes and threatened her of dire consequences.

Bina also claimed that her mobile phone was taken by Surjitkumar.

Saying that the family members of Surjitkumar took her to her home in the evening and gave her one iPhone and a bundle of Rs 500 notes but the same were returned, she said that the Facebook posts which targeted her were misleading as she didn't have any affairs with Surjitkumar.

Bina said that she narrated the whole incident to her family members once she reached home and made it clear that she did not elope but was tricked to join the picnic before she was abducted.

Bina urged the authorities concerned to take befitting action against Surjitkumar, Sonia, Kunjarani and Md Wajid at the earliest.
