Most BJP MLAs now in Delhi

Stepping up their quest for installation of a popular Government, most BJP MLAs of the State have reached Delhi.
Some other MLAs are likely to leave for Delhi tomorrow.
Yumnam Khemchand (Singjamei AC), Th Basan-takumar (Nambol AC), Karam Shyam (Langthabal AC), Th Shyamkumar (Andro AC), Dinganglung Pamei (Nungba AC) and Dr Usham Deben (Wabagai AC) left Imphal for Delhi this morning.
They were followed by Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Satyabrata (Yaiskul AC), Kongkham Robindro (Mayang Imphal AC), Khumukcham Joykisan (Thangmeiband AC), Kh Ibomcha (Lamlai AC), Govindas Konthoujam (Bishnupur AC) and Sapam Kunjakeswor (Patsoi AC) in the afternoon.
NPP Legislature wing leader MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan too went to Delhi together with Speaker Th Satyabrata.
Notably, NPP is a partner of NDA headed by BJP.

Meanwhile, some other BJP MLAs who were in different States of India rushed to Delhi today.
Replying to queries raised by media persons at Imphal Airport, Y Khemchand did not say anything except that they were going to Delhi for a get-together.
Joykisan said that they would meet some Central leaders tomorrow.
"We are also working to meet more Central leaders and we are confident that the Centre would soon give nod to the formation of a popular Government in Manipur", Joykisan said.
On being enquired about the plan and purpose of BJP MLAs rushing to Delhi, Govindas Konthoujam said, "I don't know anything.
I am going to Delhi because most BJP MLAs are going to the capital" .
"I'm going to Delhi in response to a proposal made by Speaker Th Satyabrata and ex-Chief Minister N Biren for a gathering of BJP MLAs at Delhi", he said.
Saying that he has just recovered from Dengue, Govindas added that he has no idea which Central leaders they shall meet and whether appointments have been obtained.
Sapam Kunjakeswor said that it is not yet clear whether the Centre would allow them form a popular Government.
He appealed to all to pray for the return of peace in Manipur.
On being asked whether appointments have been obtained for meetings with Central leaders, Kunjakeswor maintained that he would not like to divulge all the details.
NPP MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan said that restoration of peace and normalcy, and formation of a popular Government are the foremost wishes of the people of Manipur.
Tm confident that the Centre would give the nod for formation of a popular Government in the State at the earliest", he added.
While L Rameshwor (Keirao AC) is currently at Guwahati, Th Radheshyam (Heirok AC) and Y Radheshyam (Hiyanglam AC) are in the State.
