No appointments yet, but BJP MLAs make a beeline for Delhi

A number of BJP MLAs are making fresh trips to New Delhi to meet Central leaders of re-installation of a popular Government in place of President's Rule.
Ex-Chief Minister N Biren (Heingang AC), ex-Ministers Dr Sapam Ranjan (Konthoujam AC), Heikham Dingo (Sekmai AC) and Tongbram Robindro (Thanga AC) flew to Delhi today.
Replying to queries raised by media persons at Imphal Airport this afternoon, N Biren said that they were going to Delhi to persuade Central leaders to install a popular Government in the State.
He said that they were going to Delhi to press for the return of a popular Government at the earliest in order to resolve the pressing issues of IDPs and obstructions on highways.

On being asked which Central leaders they were planning to meet, N Biren said that the list of Central leaders whom they shall meet has not been finalized yet.
On arriving at Imphal Airport to go to Delhi on the same Indigo flight with N Biren, Tongbram Robindro said that a number of BJP MLAs are going to Delhi to meet key Central leaders.
The BJP MLAs from the State may meet some Central leaders.
"As of now, which Central leaders we shall meet has not been finalised.
Senior MLAs have been working to obtain appointments with some Central leaders", Robindro said.
He said that there was an understanding among the BJP MLAs of Manipur to go to Delhi together and meet Central leaders.
Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Satyabrata (Yaiskul AC), ex-Minister Y Khemchand (Singjamei AC), MLAs Kongkham Robindro (Mayang Imphal AC), Th Shyamkumar (Andro AC), Karam Shyam (Langthabal AC), Sapam Kunjakeswor (Patsoi AC), Soraisam Kebi (Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC), Kh Joykisan (Thangmeiband AC) and Kh Ibomcha (Lamlai AC) are likely to leave for Delhi tomorrow.
Sources said that 15-20 BJP MLAs may head for Delhi tomorrow.
Meanwhile, MLA Lourembam Rameshwar (Keirao AC) who left for Guwahati yesterday came back today for a personal business.
It is said that he would leave for Guwahati again tomorrow.
MLA Paonam Brojen (Wangjing Tentha AC) said that he and some other MLAs including Kh Raghumani (Uripok AC) would leave for Delhi on October 6.According to the sources, all the BJP MLAs are expected to reach Delhi by October 7.As of now, the BJP MLAs have not yet obtained appointments with any Central leader.
The BJP MLAs would hold a meeting after all of them have reached Delhi and decide which Central leaders they shall meet.
Nonetheless, the BJP MLAs would first seek an appointment with Union Home Minister Amit Shah after meeting BJP North East Coordinator Sambit Patra, said the sources.
Some BJP MLAs told The Sangai Express that they have been working to meet Amit Shah on October 9 and the meeting may materialise on the same day.
The BJP MLAs would also seek an appointment with BJP National president JP Nadda too.
However, when BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda sought an appointment with JP Nadda on behalf of the MLAs, the BJP National president refused to give any appointment citing tight schedule, said another source.
