Dance the Night Away
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
Hold death awhile at arm's length.
-Shakespeare
Is life without death possible?
The answer is a big NO.
But who gives it a warm welcome?
The answer is
The road ahead is dark
But the end of the road
Is sharply defined
Against the background of light and shade
Used in a picture called life
Drawn by an artist
Who wishes to remain anonymous.
Death is a dream
That subsists
In the depths of imagination
Of the living.
No one knows for sure
What death is
For one never returns to life again
After one's death.
Fear not, the sun is shining all day;
When the sun is shining bright
Birds are singing
And this finds an echo
In the hearts of many below the sky.
Do not die yet
For far away in the distance
The western horizon is still sleeping.
Here you are.
This is what you were asking for -
A bouquet of flowers
Beautiful and sweet smelling.
I hope you do not want
Some dog dirt in your shoe.
Blessed are the living.
