But it has certain side effects, especially nausea and vomiting, which can be taken care by taking the pill with some anti sickness pills.

Another very effective post coital contraceptive method is the insertion of a wire loop called as copper-T. It can protect up to 99% if it is implanted within 5 days after the event. It means having to come into a clinic where a doctor or a trained health professional will insert the coil in the front passage of the women. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes and requires no analgesia or anesthesia and the lady can return home following the procedure. There is a very minimal chance of mild bleeding or dizziness during and following the procedure, but otherwise it is a very safe and easy procedure.

The efficacy is tested by the returning of the lady menstrual cycle, or if delayed a pregnancy test can be done at home with pregnancy test kit. Necessary commitments can then follow according to the result of the test.

Emergency contraceptive pills are not 'the abortion pills' and both of them are entirely different and should not be confused. They are true contraceptive in that they prevent pregnancy by inhibiting or delaying the release eggs from a women egg producing glands (ovaries). So we are not trying to kill any life forms.
