Twitter Vs X-Rated

One leader enquired whether I had seen his 'X'. I was stunned because I respect him and I can’t relate him to any X-rated things; I never imagined him indulging in X matters. Then I said, Sir, I really don’t want to see any X things on you; you are a respected leader – how can you do X-rated things ? – I grudgingly retorted.

Then he said, no, no, just see and make your comment. Sir, if you insist please send me the stuff. Then he said, it is already there in the public domain. Ho, No! You have already put your X thing on the net. He said, ‘pagal’ Twitter is now X.

Actually, I was not aware of the transformation of Twitter to X. So, I was really surprised to get such a request from a public figure – “please see my X”. In the 80s and 90s (even today) ‘X’ symbolizes adult movies more authentic and aggressive than the ‘A’ rated films. Single X, double XX, and triple XXX – it all depends on the intensity and magnitude of the activities.

When we were growing up in the middle of the city – we used to roam around here and there. There were video parlors showing X-rated films. It spread like wildfire throughout the State. Imphal city, Greater Imphal, Chura-chandpur, Mao, Ukhrul, Jiribam, Tamenglong, Moreh, Moirang – you name it and they had it.

In a hall-type room, a TV set will be attached to a VCP or VCR – and there will be a small crowd of 20/30 people watching the show. In those good old days, it generated a lucrative income for both the proprietor and the police.

Some time back there was a very popular TV serial in the name of X-Files. This was about investigating strange unusual things. It was a kind of a CID-type TV serial – but screened and played out in a very smart and sophisticated manner. Sometimes the investigation looks so real and amazing - paranormal or extra-terrestrial or spirits or ghosts.

Elon Musk, one of the richest men who does not have great educational qualifications, is indulging in many extraordinary things – like organizing space trips. Now he is trying to change the world with secret technologies – very advanced – only AIs and robots can handle. Humans will be converted to second-class citizens of the planet.

I am afraid, in the years to come only a few hundred billionaires will run the world with their chosen technocrats and scientists backed by AIs. Then within a short span of time, AIs will take over the control of humans. Ultimately the AIs will control human civilization. As of now, we think that we are using AIs and robots for human purposes.

We are using technology for our comfort, better service, faster calculation, perfect diagnosis, and so on. Within a few decades from now, we are doomed, if we allow upgrading the AIs beyond human intelligence.

Whether you like it or not Twitter is now X; the lovely bluebird is converted into X. Whether it is ridiculous or dumbfounded, we can’t do anything. If you still want to be there – you can continue or you may move out. But why should we do that? Some are saying – nothing wrong – Twitter is X or X is Twitter. There is hardly any difference except the ownership.

One financial wizard said that you better change the name of your company when it has got unmanageable liabilities – declare insolvency. You better start a new one. The earlier company will remain in Court dealing with multiple litigations pertaining to debts or tax or loans etc... Likewise, Political Party can also do the same thing – changing its name and doing away with its earlier sins, crimes, whatever.

Luxembourg, a small European country, is renowned for keeping your hard-earned money safe (from unfriendly authorities). In a way, it is a tax haven. These days stinking rich people are not going to Switzerland (badanam ho gaya) but they are going secretly to Luxembourg. And X is the emblem of Luxembourg. I had been there before the Covid pandemic – just for a different purpose – certainly not for money matters.

Elon Musk is enamored with the letter X from the very beginning. He even calls his son X in short. Musk’s endearment with X began when he founded the online banking X.com in 1999 which was later merged with Confinity. Leon Seltzer (writer) hinted that Elon is fascinated with X’s malleability - how it can be birth or death, cancellation or multiplication, nothing or everything.

There are already many X-related things in the world. For instance, X-ray, X-Mas, X-Chromosome, X-GF, X-BF, X-Husband, X-Wife, X-Boss, X-President, X-Prime Minister, X- Lover, X-Men, X-Factor; and X- itself is used as a danger insignia with a skull; X also represents the end of a road (dead-end). And in Algebra X represents an unknown variable.

So far, globally the most surreptitiously popular X is the X which is related to films or X as related to GF or BF but certainly not the X-Twitter.
