SOME SHAMBLES: the Running Sangai Comments

OMNISHAMBLES! This word pangs me. Let's don't make it as our relatives.

'Omnishambles', is a neologism, has now dressed up to entertain in our day-to-day vocabularies to refer to a situation which is seen as SHAMBOLIC from all possible perspectives. The word 'Omnishambles' became wide phenomenon after its first usage in BBC political satire 'The Thick of it', and also crowned as the word of the year by the Oxford English Dictionary because of its popularity and 'linguistic productivity'. A notable coinage coming from the word is' Romneyshamble', a derisive term used by the press in UK after the US presidential candidate Mitt Romney expressing doubt about the London ability to host a successful Olympic.

The word, which was formed with the latin prefix omni-, meaning 'all', and shambles meaning 'a total disorder', could be use as a short and simple ways to describe many of our today's happenings of sorry operating social systems and sorry state's affairs.

News of shambles after shambles off-sets the paper pages; allegations and counter-allegations, demands and counter-demands, attacks and counter-attacks asides the normal counterbalance.

Woops or Oops! The Latest shambles now is the 'TOUR-FESTSHAMBLES'. But the organizer says, 'the Sangai runs faster this year'.

First being the 'LAWORDERSHAMBLES', --- law and disorder situation, amidst unseen fear and insecurity that pop-up with the demands and counter-demands of some state and home-state by our own family members, the much hyped this year Tourisms fest has concluded successful.

Thanks to the organizers for their concerted efforts to make it successful. And, Thanks to the boys in Khaki. Because the previous fest downed its curtains with a blast in front of the main gate, and the hangovers created by such scaring unseemly activities of past in people's minds was somehow quite removed with tight and alert security provision. And thanks to the tourists for touring the fest.

This year some crores project to promote tourism in the state seems articulated well but to further promote the state as a world's class tourism destinations imperatively needs extra-innovative efforts, otherwise it would be a distant dream, this is not what the doomsayer says, but because of LAWORDERSHAMBLES.

It's up to the state's First, Second, Third and Fourth-Estate's architects and engineers to make it Symbolic or Shambolic. If this state is really a gateway to SEA-Regions, then this fest could be a fertile ground, under LEP (Look east policy). Beyond a tourist joints, we should sense of it as a potential big-commercial joints for all the Tiger economy nations of SEA-Regions. We should recognize such wonder opportunity before we miss. Because after Sangai, its Horn bills.

Indeed, right! What the state known figures ad-lips that the state has become renown not only for its beauty and the uniqueness of the shy gentle Brow-Antlered Deer but also for LAWORDERSHAMBLES.

Though this year's 10-day fest concluded successfully, the running commentaries of a bit disturbed and a little of incompetency in operative systems is also heard. The inability to estimate the visitor size has disturbed the road commuters.

'Terrible Road-Traffic system' than before, is the single word that people uttered to express their regrets. It's known that the destiny of November and December has been appointed as wedding season and when the visitors of both the fest and weds collided, inter-collide, super-collide and hyper-collide in the small Imphal roads, the condition became more regrettable than before. This is what we can tag it as ROADTRASHAMBLES.

Before the finest Thai-Cultural dance performance, the Kungfu-karate event inside the venue showcased by the uninvited performing troupes so called people representative can be also tag as 'BEHAVIOSHAMBLES'. And the visitor's favorite wild-animal fry menu of porcupine and wild boar can be tagged as RECK-THORITYSHAMBLES. Because recklessness and incompetency is reflected amongst the organizing authority, press conference and press notes clarification says it.

Last but mostly important one is a two-word of appreciation called 'Great Job!' This is what many people who prophesize with their pen forget to say. This year's fest has really improved considerably.

Let's give good try for 'Shambles Free-Fest' in the next year, to make it symbolic than shambolic.

Beside fest, so many shambles, so many shambles are yet to be heard. The CM has back from Aus, so PHUMDISHAMBLES issues may again wake-up. The leading CSO has told that they have submitted 'Memo' to central political honchos demanding CBI enquiries, but what's next is everyone's suspense. But things don't work, the sure thing is 'Heads he win, tails you lose'.

And the running topic of demand and counter-demands between our family members will be concluded next Sunday under 'PEACESHAMBLES' category.
