I'm a student studying B.E. in SJCE (Sri Jayachamarajendra College Of Engg) in Mysore. I've read the leisure section written by Ms.Ambika studying MBA. Yes she is correct that it is a common question asked by most people -"where is Manipur".

And not only this question, there are lots like -Is there any good college in Manipur, Is there any good company in Manipur, what is the capital of Manipur etc.

Why is these questions asked to us? Do they really not know Manipur and where is it? Or do other Indians not know Manipur? Or are they mocking us?

What makes us feel the question? Or are we same people to ask where is Manipur? Its very interesting that even the Indians asked these questions what about the other that is outside of India. And what shall we give the answers of theses questions; Can any one guess about this?

Sometimes even I'm confused to think about Manipur. What is there in Manipur? Why should I come here for studying even as my own state is there? Am I surviving by other states? Can't we do anything else to not depend on other states?

Are there any authorities to develop Manipur? Even though I belong to Manipur I'm not proud of my Manipur and you may be surprised to read this sentence and may be thinking that I'm a foolish guy.

Yes may be I'm foolish but is there any reason to be proud of my state? Is there no one to be blame?

Where are the system gone? Why we make them as authorities? We can blame politicians, IAS officers, IPS officers, and office bearers' etc. Why do we allow them taking these high positions if they can't make us known to other people?

If Manipur is not known then how can they know about Manipuri i.e. we people. Is their any other means to develop our Manipur?

I put blame to these authorities in which they never care about us. Compare to other leaders in the world and our leaders. Our leaders want only the position and the powers but not the means of their position. If they once think of this matter why should we face such a problem? Are they nothing for us?

Imagine the Tibetans who are staying in India. How they survive in India? They fled from Tibet and settle here. How they come here? They have their own leaders. They don't get the citizenship in India but they survive and their leader Dalai Lama alone can handle all these. Even they settle here peacefully, they are struggling for getting freedom of their own from the Chinese government.

Their leader Dalai Lama is meeting world's leaders to get help. He (Lama) can stay comfortably in an air-condition room and can get servants to help him but he thinks for his own people and he sacrifice for his people.

Is there anyone like him in our Manipur? For us it is very shameful to say that we have our leaders. By the way who is our real leader? They celebrate for our freedom fighters but what they do for us.

Say our Nupilal once it was very famous but no one follow. Recently our central library was burnt and what can we do for that. That's the only library in Manipur and it keeps the ancient copies and books. But who is the responsible for this library? We have many intelligent people but what is the application to be applied by this people.

Why our authorities are so thoughtless? Or are they only thinking of themselves ? Then what is meant to make them or give such huge responsible to them? In other way time has come to teach them a nice lesson to these irresponsible leaders. We have our own right to choose our correct leaders. And the time has come. No one ever wants to say their dirty things in their own house.

Likewise we think our Manipur as our own sweet home and we never want to tell about these dirty lying in Manipur. So please friends it is very difficult to answer to other people for what they ask about Manipur and we even don't want to think that there is nothing in Manipur. Also we also don't see any organization in Manipur.

I heard lots name of the organization but it seems they are only for the namesake and not use for the people. Why do they exist for no any reason? Are they same as the authorities mention above? We also know lots of the NGO in Manipur but they are of no use in any field. They are just for them only and no means of NGO.

Lets pray to God to shine brightly a future Manipur.
Let us make Manipur in a top list of the Indian states.
And we lets be never heard again with the words "Where is Manipur?".
