- Introduction: Media as the Fourth Estate and influencer of public opinion.
- Various type of Media existed in our society and its significant
- Importance of media as an instrument for the development of Social, Economic and Education.
- The Impact of Social Media like facebook/Twitter on our children, Adolescents and students
- New front of vision for media to get involve and concentrate in our society at large.

Following criteria may be used in assessing the documents: Originality: 50% Clarity: 15 % Structure: 10 % Proper grammar and spelling: 15 % Overall impression: 10 %

Essay Guidelines-
1.The Competition is open to all readers and members of VOTH agencies both printed and social networking group. It is an Open Competition!
2. Entries must be written in Thadou-Kuki or English language.
3. The minimum word count is 800 words and upper limit extended to 2,000 words. Exceeding the word count will result in automatic disqualification.
4. Entries must be the original work of the writer. Whereas it might be relevant to receive help, Entries must give sources referenced using footnotes. Footnotes should include, author, title of publication, publisher if available, date or internet URL wherever possible.
5. Only one essay per entrant is allowed. Once an essay is submitted, contestant will not have the opportunity to revise it. Please carefully check before submitting the final copy.
6. Essays can be submitted in our official mail ID: [email protected] either word doc. or pdf format. You can also drop in the mentioned VOTH retails/Info Centers.
7. All entries must carry supplementary information like Name, Address, Two Contact Number (Alternative number).
8. All entries must be submitted before midnight on 05th Dec 2014.

The winning Entries:

o The winning essays will be determined by a judging committee selected by VOTH Admins. Winner will be announced in our local News Papers.
o There will be three prize winners.
o The Grand Winner Entry: Trophy+ Certificate +Cash Prize + VOTH Readers Meet Publication.
o Two honorable Entries: Trophy+ Certificate + Gift hampers + VOTH readers meet publication.
o All winners will be invited to attend our readers meet 2014 ceremony in the month of December and and will have their essays published in the magazine and VOTH Websites.
