Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, today announced the launch of its exclusive Oncology and Neuro-Surgery OPD services at Damdiai Healthcare, Aizawl, Mizoram. The OPD Services were launched in the presence of Dr Raghuram K, Senior Director – Surgical Oncology and Dr Kapil Jain, Director & Head of Unit – Neurosurgery Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket along with Dr Miriam L Hnamte, Manager, Damdiai Healthcare, Aizawl.
Dr Raghuram K and Dr Kapil Jain, will be available on the 3rd Saturday of every month 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Damdiai Healthcare Aizawl, Mizoram for primary consultations and follow-ups.
During the launch, Dr Raghuram K, Senior Director – Surgical Oncology, Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, said, “Lack of awareness often leads to delayed diagnosis, with patients seeking medical attention only when cancer has advanced. Recognising early symptoms, adopting preventive measures, and undergoing timely screening are crucial to improving outcomes. Advances in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries have enhanced precision and recovery, while early-stage cancers often respond better to treatment. Through these OPD services, we aim to facilitate early diagnosis, provide appropriate treatment guidance, and improve access to specialised cancer care, including advanced treatment options at our Delhi centre.”
Dr Kapil Jain, Director & Head of Unit – Neurosurgery, Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, said, “Awareness of neurological conditions and their early warning signs is essential for timely diagnosis and effective treatment. Symptoms such as persistent headaches, seizures, weakness in the limbs, changes in balance, or unexplained changes in speech should not be ignored. Early medical evaluation can help identify underlying neurological conditions and enable timely intervention, improving treatment outcomes and quality of life. Through these OPD services, we aim to improve awareness, facilitate access to specialised neurosurgical consultations, and guide patients towards appropriate treatment and follow-up care closer to home.”
Through the launch of these OPD services residents of Aizawl and nearby regions will receive expert consultations, second opinions, and guidance on advanced treatments within the city itself. This will not only save patients from travelling to Delhi but also create awareness about early detection and ensure timely access to expert consultation.
