The Gullibility
Laishram Momo Khuman *
The scoldings of people, my decoration,
I’ll keep listening to them, despite being fed up.
Pain will be felt, as my kindness persists,
Covered in stress when performing life’s duties.
All my utterances turn out as disturbances to someone,
Loving all my friends with heart and soul.
Egoistic am I, as they envisioned,
An enemy I am, as they considered me.
Wrong path, where they have gone,
The personality of mine, acknowledged by none.
My pure heart, unseen by anyone,
The strength and power, wanting to be dedicated to people.
Having a desire to continue,
Until my body turns to ash,
Until my heartbeat stops.
In every fluctuation, you walk before me,
Holding my hands,
Showing me the path of life
By you, the unseen Divine.
The feeble me, who prays only to you,
By what nature of mine did I commit offenses against you, divine?
Being blamed by many.
Cleanse all my dirt.
Divine, pour the blessings unto me.
Let me be responsible for my own,
Let me complete all my duties.
A kind and brave person I will be
For the generations of the future
The gullible person, I am.
