TODAY -
Still, I Wondered Upon
Tourangbam Jenifer *
Through days, I pondered deeply
Deep as the ocean
And asked queries to oneself, restlessly
And wondered why hatred among people
Over millions of people on earth
But why discrimination among us?
Why theist, atheist, agnostic among us?
We are mortal beings
Why superior and inferior among us?
I wonder what people think about life.
In the end, everyone is the same when one
Departs this life.
Owing to dubious and unseemly demeanor
Still, I wondered upon and dared
Speak no words.
