Kangleipak's Unwavering Soul
Dr Ranbir Laishram *
Through the ages, generations rise and fall,
Leaders come and go, yet our homeland's spirit stands tall.
Scholars born, scholars pass, leaving wisdom's legacy,
Wealth blooms, wealth withers, but resilience remains our destiny.
Wars rage, wars subside, yet hearts still beat as one,
Millions lost, millions born, our story forever to be sung.
Refugees surge, refugees dwindle, hope's flame still flickers bright,
Revolts ignite, revolts fade, courage guides us through the night.
Terrorism rears, terrorism falls, peace's gentle voice prevails,
Ethnic strife erupts, ethnic strife heals, love's balm soothes wounded gales.
Thousands displaced, stories untold, resilience revives,
Our Kangleipak stands, pristine and strong, forever alive.
Decades of strife, decades of pain,
Vulnerable hearts suffer, impoverished lives remain.
Mothers' cries echo, wives' pleas resound,
Displaced persons yearn, prayers unheard, hope's whisper abounds.
Time heals scars, history remembers,
Our homeland stands, unbroken, forever in our hearts.
Leaders may falter, but people remain true,
Faithful to motherland, some may sell, but others renew.
Our Kangleipak rises, victorious and strong,
Centuries of conflict, yet our spirit remains long.
Through atrocities of war, gruesome and cold,
Our people endure, our homeland forever to hold.
