Embracing the Shadows
Dr Ranbir Laishram *
In twilight's hush, where shadows softly fall,
Ethnic strife and I entwined, through it all.
A somber sky, a heart that's worn and sore,
I yearn for peace, but it's a fleeting score.
I ask the wind, "When will this strife subside?
When will the wounds of discord be healed inside?
The breeze whispers low,
The path ahead's unclear,
But learn to live with it, and find a way to persevere.
In sorrow's dark, I search for a gentle refrain,
A melancholy peace that calms the heart's deep pain.
I befriend my grief, and together we roam,
Through life's turbulent soul, to find a peaceful home.
There, love and hope entwine, a bond that's strong and true,
A sense of calm that strife cannot undo.
