Filmmaker and actor Bijou Thaangjam has won the Best Director award for his directorial debut, The Taste of Dreams, at the prestigious 33rd Edition of the Indie Shorts Film Festival. The short film, featuring newcomers Luwang Yumlembam and Atila Lairikyengbam, explores the youth of Manipur and their unyielding resilience to dream big despite struggles and societal challenges.
Shot with a keen eye for detail, the film's cinematography is helmed by Niranda Ngangom, with editing by Bonny Ningthouja and music composed by Raju Mutum. This marks the second award for The Taste of Dreams, further cementing its impact on the festival circuit.
