Gallery 16Ten's Inaugural Exhibition Collective Hues Celebrates Diverse Artistic Expressions from Around the World.
Gallery 16Ten proudly announces the launch of its inaugural exhibition, Collective Hues, currently on view through October 19, 2024. The exhibition features 40 works by 8 artists from across the globe, celebrating the richness of diverse artistic perspectives. The exhibition showcases varied expressions, from visual manifestations of modern digital existence to abstract expressionism, societal commentary, and the beauty of nature.
The participating artists bring unique expressions that engage in dialogue with one another and integrate into a larger conversation.
Summer Roshni Bhullar’s art draws the viewer into inner realities beyond the five senses. It transports the viewer into the transcendental energy and qualities of The Infinite Source. While witnessing this art, thinking stops and feeling take over, and the viewer encounters a deeply transformative experience. Her art is real and representational of the inner realm that is our source. Naurya Pelletier-Bacquaert’s work visually manifests the digitization of modern existence, exploring the enigmatic facets of her inner self through photographic compositions and drawings.
Sri Kumar Adhikari fuses traditional Indian Mughal Miniature painting with contemporary realities, illustrating how gadgets have become integral to modern life. Prittam Priyalochan’s spiritual journey is reflected in his art, which draws inspiration from nature, human instincts, animals, birds, and their impact on society. Ajoy Krishna’s focus on commercial and street photography captures the essence of Indian culture and life earning him widespread recognition.
Mukhtar Ahmed Sardar, influenced by Robert Herrick's poem Delight in Disorder, finds inspiration in scribbled signboards, broken walls, or randomly placed objects and expresses them on canvas. Mohammed Suleman combines India’s cultural heritage with modern techniques, infusing his work with tradition, mythology, and societal observations. Rahul Naskar’s paintings bring to life the beauty of nature and the energy of urban environments, transporting viewers into captivating scenes.
Carole Al Kahouaji, Gallery Director, remarked, “We are born to express ourselves, and art is the universal language that transcends boundaries and enriches our lives. 'Collective Hues' showcases a fusion of global perspectives, where each piece tells a story that resonates with viewers, creating a truly remarkable experience.”
