Manipur they won gold in both the boys' and girls's team events at the 28th Junior National Sepaktakraw Championship in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday. In the girls' team event final, Manipur delivered a commanding performance against Haryana, winning with set scores of 15-5, 15-7 in the first regu and 15-12, 15-12 in the second regu.

Earlier in the semifinals, they overcame Bihar in a closely contested match, prevailing 2-1 (15-6, 15-3; 15-11, 6-15, 13-15; 15-13, 15-6) . En route to the semifinals, the team registered victories over Odisha, Gujarat, and Haryana.

The boys' team also demonstrated their dominance, clinching the gold medal after a keenly contested final against Bihar, winning 12-15, 15-6, 15-12; 15-11, 15-12 . In the semifinals, they secured a decisive win over Uttar Pradesh with scores of 15-8, 15-8; 15-12, 1510, following earlier triumphs against Karnataka, Odisha, and Delhi.

In the regu competition, the Manipur girls' team maintained their outstanding form, securing victories over Punjab, West Bengal, Delhi, and Gujarat on Thursday. The boys' team also produced a strong showing in the day's competition, dominating their fixtures with wins against Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.
