Manipur State Legal Services Authority Observes World Environment Day at Muirei Village, Ukhrul District

The office of the Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) observed World Environment Day today at Muirei Village, Ukhrul District, Manipur. As part of the observance, a tree plantation drive was carried out to promote environmental sustainability and raise awareness on the importance of preserving nature.

The programme highlighted this year’s global theme for World Environment Day and emphasized the collective responsibility to combat environmental degradation.

Shri Alek Muivah, Member Secretary, MASLSA; Ms. Kh. Rojita Devi, O.S.D., MASLSA; Ms. S. Mangaleibi Devi, Deputy Member Secretary, MASLSA; Officers & staff of MASLSA took part in the plantation activities.

A variety of indigenous tree saplings were planted in and around the village, reinforcing the commitment to greener and healthier surroundings.

MASLSA also express its appreciation to the Forest Dept. for supplying tree saplings for the tree plantation programme.
