With profound grief, the World Meetei Council (WMC) announces the untimely demise of our respected colleague and President of the WMC Assam Unit, Shri Thaunawjam Brajamohon, who left us suddenly on 8th January 2025.

Shri Brajamohon’s exceptional contributions to our organization and his relentless dedication to the betterment of society have left an enduring legacy. His pivotal efforts in advocating for the inclusion of Assam Meetei in the list of Scheduled Tribes demonstrated his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to his community.

A true guiding light, he was not only a dedicated professional but also a kind-hearted individual who inspired and positively impacted everyone around him. His loss is an irreplaceable void, deeply felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire community he served so passionately.

May his soul rest in eternal peace. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to his family and loved ones during this sorrowful time.
