The United Meitei-Pangal Committee (UMPC), Manipur expresses its deepest sorrow and strongest condemnation of the recent heinous attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.
This cowardly and senseless act of violence has claimed innocent lives and shattered the peace of a region already grappling with tension. The victims, who had simply ventured out in the spirit of tourism, peace, and discovery, did not deserve such cruelty. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and stand in solidarity with the survivors and the people of Jammu & Kashmir during this tragic moment.
UMPC Manipur prays for strength and resilience for the families of the victims, and for the speedy recovery of the injured. We call for justice to be delivered swiftly and fairly, and urge the authorities to ensure that such acts do not go unpunished.
We appeal to both the Central and State Governments to take urgent and decisive action in bringing the perpetrators to book, and to ensure that those responsible are punished strictly, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or nationality.
Terrorism has no place in a civilized society. Such violence only weakens the fabric of our diverse nation and attempts to derail peace and communal harmony. The unity and safety of all citizens, including visitors, must be preserved at all costs.
Black Ribbon Protest - Jumma’h Namaz (Friday Prayer)
As a mark of solidarity with the victims and to express our strongest condemnation of this terror attack, UMPC Manipur urges all individuals attending today’s Jumma’h Namaz (Friday Prayer) to wear a black ribbon. Let this be a symbol of our collective grief, unity, and firm stand against terror and violence in any form.
UMPC Manipur continues to advocate for peace, justice, and unity across all communities and regions. We stand firm in our condemnation of violence and renew our call for collective efforts to uphold the values of compassion and brotherhood.
