The Shillong Manipuri Student’s Union(SMSU) has observed the 3rd May 2025 as The Black Day at the union office, Laitumkhrah, Manipur House, Shillong with the theme “Stop Narco-terrorism & illegal immigration. Provide immediate action for Justice and Protection for indigenous people of Manipur” as a sign to commemorate the sacrifice and to condemn the menace of Narco terrorism in Manipur which stands 2 year on this day.

The Union strongly stands against the narco-terrorsim in Manipur, and appeal to the state government & central government to identify the illegal immigrants in Manipur & deport to their native places at the earliest. The Union is deeply concerned and unhappy with the Government’s total failure to provide justice and failure of protection to the indigenous People of Manipur.

It’s a griefful and melancholic moment to ponder and witness such callous and vicious situations especially to martyrs who sacrifice for our roots and mother Manipur. It’s an unfortunate moment where the state and central government failed to provide firm and permanent solutions and thereby protecting the integrity of Manipur, India.

The union vigorously and robustly stands against the inequity and unfairness to the indigenous people of Manipur and appeal to the state and central government to provide Justice and take a firm action immediately inorder to bring peace and normalcy in the state.
