1st AMAND Football Cup 2025
The Association of Manipuri Diaspora (AMAND), Pune successfully hosted the 1st AMAND Football Cup 2025 on 2nd March at Pune Mundhwa, in honour of Late Hony Capt NK Singh, the Founder President of AMAND. More than just a celebration of sportsmanship, this tournament served as a tribute to the values of team spirit, friendship and community bonding that it upholds. With the grand beginning this year, the tournament will henceforth be held annually.
The 6-a-side knockout tournament witnessed participation from 16 teams, representing various organizations, academies and communities from the North East. The tournament was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Shyam Shahni—an International Powerlifter and Er. Jayanta Singh, President of AMAND.

The tournament concluded with spectacular performances by all teams. There were breathtaking moments and all teams displayed true spirit of sportsmanship. The atmosphere during the entire duration of the tournament was of competitiveness and all teams were cheered on by an enthusiastic audience.
Eagle FC emerged as the Champions of the 1st AMAND Football Cup 2025, claiming a cash prize of ₹20,000/- along with a trophy, medals and certificates with sponsorship from Late Capt NK Singh's Family.
Team Vineet secured the Runner-up position, receiving a cash prize of ₹10,000, along with a trophy, medals and certificates.
Additional awards were distributed including Best Goalkeeper, Golden Boot and Best Player, recognizing outstanding individual performances.
The event concluded with heartfelt words from Mrs N Birohini W/o Late Capt NK Singh, honouring his memory and legacy, making the occasion even more special.
With this remarkable start, the AMAND Football Cup promises to grow bigger and better in the years to come!
