Mega Blood Donation Camp at JNIMS

The Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi, (LNKR) Manipur successfully conducted a mega blood donation camp under the theme "Donate Blood, Save Life" on 20th August, 2024 at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal (JNIMS).

Mr. Mathiuchunbou Rimai, President, LNKR said this is the first time that the union is taking such philanthropic service and amazed to witness as many donors came forward to participate. The union took up this initiative as we received multiple emergency phone calls to donate blood and lack of blood units for the patients.

Therefore, to make the task handy, the Union took a rational decision to organize a mega blood donation camp with a sole motive that the patients can meet the immediate blood requirements when need arises.

Mr. Rimai stated that, the blood donors were mostly students and youths. As voluntary blood donors, we don't lose anything by giving one unit of blood rather we gain an inner peace by saving human lives. Therefore, the union acknowledges the heroes who have demonstrated the act of benevolence service.

The union is indeed grateful to Dr. Konsam Surjit, Senior Medical Officer, In-charge Blood Bank Centre, and Dr. Wilubuibou JNIMS, Imphal for their fullest cooperation and support in making this mega blood donation a grand success.
