Versatile Designer Kanishtha Kujur Highlights GenAI Innovations at Tribal Futures Event
Kanishtha Kujur, a versatile designer, joined the seventh day of Tribal Futures in a session hosted by Anupam Purty, a Graphic Designer from Ranchi. Kanistha Kujur is a Textile Designer currently located in Sikkim and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
Focusing on technology, Kujur delivered a 30-minute online presentation on her innovative work in design sprints for GenAI-based app development and other projects. She shared her experiences in Milan, where she led a design sprint focused on developing a cutting-edge app using Generative AI technology.
She detailed the process from initial discovery to testing, highlighting key strategies and methodologies used to bring the app concept to life. Additionally, Kujur discussed her involvement in prototyping enterprise software, showcasing how she navigated the complexities of user experience and interface design in a corporate setting.
Kujur also delved into her role in facilitating design thinking capacity-building workshops. She explained how these workshops were tailored to help individuals from various teams develop creative problem-solving skills and foster a culture of innovation within their organizations.
The sixth day of the month-long Tribal Future Fest ended with a Q&A session where participants asked Kanishtha Kujur interesting questions. When questioned about the relationship between design thinking and tribal communities, Kujur mentioned that certain aspects of design thinking, such as collective wisdom and community involvement, are inherently present in the lifestyle of many tribal communities.
One of the audience also asked about the differences in design education between India and Milan, Kujur said that the differences are not just in design education. She said that in Milan, the overall teaching style focuses more on practical work and collaboration, which is quite different from the approach used in India.
Over the next 24 days, this Tribal Futures series will bring together creative professionals and designers from different tribal communities across the country into one platform.
