Condemns filing of FIR

The Youth Front of WMC Manipur State Unit strongly condemns the recent filing of an FIR by Shri Konjengbam Ratan, a terminated member of WMC, against Shri Heigrujam Nabashyam, the Chairman of WMC. We were informed of the summon letter received on September 22, 2024, from Singjamei Police Station, Imphal West.

Shri Heigrujam Nabashyam has dedicated himself tirelessly to the Council and our community, championing the cause of the Meetei people and advocating for the Scheduled Tribe status for our community. We view this FIR as an unfounded attack on a committed leader, and we believe that individuals acting against him may have vested interests that do not align with the welfare of the Meetei people.

We urge the police to dismiss this FIR, which is based on fabricated claims from a former member, and to focus instead on the genuine concerns of our community. Attacks on our leaders undermine our collective efforts for progress and unity.

We stand firm in our support for Shri Heigrujam Nabashyam and his dedication to the Meetei cause.
