We, the Global Manipur Federation (GMF) strongly condemns the horrific and inhumane acts committed by Kuki-Zo terrorists, including the brutal rape and murder of a mother and the merciless killing of her two children, one of whom was an 8-month-old infant, following their abduction from the Borobekara IDPS center in Jiribam on 11th November 2024.
GMF also denounces the barbaric killing of an elderly woman and a 2.5-year-old infant among the abducted civilians.
The Christian community must collectively denounce these atrocious acts committed by members of the Kuki-Zo- Christian community-acts that include the killing of an 8-month-old baby, the brutal murder of an 8-year-old girl, and the rape and murder of their mother. Such inhumane crimes are a betrayal of the values of compassion and humanity that the Christian faith holds dear.
These unspeakable acts against women and children are a grave violation of human rights and decency, leaving an indelible scar on our collective conscience. They highlight the urgent need for swift and decisive action to ensure the safety and protection of the most vulnerable members of our society.
We call upon the Government of India to take immediate and decisive measures to bring the perpetrators of these heinous crimes to justice. Silence and inaction in the face of such brutality are unacceptable. Authorities must act to ensure accountability and to prevent such atrocities from ever happening again.
Our deepest condolences go out to the victims and their families. We stand united in grief, demanding justice for those whose lives were so cruelly taken.
Let this tragedy serve as a wake-up call for the government and society to address the rising violence and work tirelessly to ensure that no family endures such unimaginable suffering in the future.
