In the inaugural ceremony, Hon’ble Mr. Justice A. Guneshwar Sharma, Judge, High Court of Manipur & Chairman, High Court Legal Services Committee stated that not all the disputes need to be resolved through the Courts which is often expensive and time consuming.
The state of Tripura has double the strength of Judicial Officers than the State of Manipur inspite of having almost same population. Thus, for the State of Manipur, it is best to resort to Mediation for settlement of dispute instead of going to Courts which is already overburden due to less number of Judges.
