CMESS extended to Moirang College Relief Camp inmates

The benefits of the Chief Minister’s Entrepreneurship Support Scheme (CMESS) have been extended to the inmates of the relief camps at Moirang College, Moirang through an awareness programme conducted at the premises of the college under the aegis of the State Planning Department.

The Awareness cum Sensitization Programme organized on the theme One Family One Livelihood was attended by the Principal Dr Md Raheijuddin Sheikh as the Chief Guest, Research Officer of the Planning Department Dr RK Tombisana as the president and SDO Moirang Ch. Somorendro, Lead District Manager of PNB Bishunupur District Y. Ibochou Singh and Sub Registrar of Moirang Nongthombam Sanaton as the Guests of Honour.

On the other hand, the NSS, NCC and YRS of Moirang College are also conducting campus cleaning simultaneously with the CMESS awareness programme for the welfare of the inmates residing in the relief camps in the college campus.

Around 950 inmates who were displaced from various affected villages are taking shelter at two relief camps opened at Moirang College since the outbreak of the communal violence on May 3, 2023 till date.

The cleanliness programme is being conducted as a part of the series of activities under the Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada which was started from the 15th September 2023 and will continue till the 2nd October 2023.

The College students shall also clean up the INA Complex at Moirang and Sendra Tourist Spot on the 28th September 2023 as a part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada.
