sacrifices to protect their motherland from the colonial designs of British government on its 123rd Patriots’ Day, the 13th August, 2014 at the Arihant Institute of Management Studies,
Camp, Pune. Commemorating the great sacrifices made during Anglo-Manipuri War in 1891 by the Patriots of Manipur, a large number Manipuris from the city paid their homage to our
martyrs Bir Tikendrajit, Thangal General and Paona Brajabasi.

need for reassurance towards the welfare of the state as a mark of respect to the brave forefathers of the land. He also called upon the gathering to unitedly resolve to bring in the
ideals cherished by the gallant forefathers of Manipur. Two minutes silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
Maj. K.Y. Singh (Retd) Vice President, AMAND, Pune said on this occasion - History is the clear example that if there is no unity in the country outside power would seize the
opportunity to enslave and rule over them. He also stressed to redefine the meaning of patriotism and opined that “the true tribute to our heroes is what you do for peace, progress and
prosperity of the state not only by the floral tributes”.
