Manipur is set to unveil its first ropeway, connecting the foothills to the Ibudhou Marjing Polo Complex.
Located in Heingang, Imphal East, the complex honours the Meitei deity Marjing and the ancient sport of Sagol Kangjei.
It features the world's tallest equestrian statue of a polo player.
With an investment of Rs 126 crores, this state-of-the-art ropeway is both a tribute to the region's rich heritage and a symbol of progress.
Proposed by the Manipur government and approved by the central government, it goes beyond mere transportation - it embodies hope and ambition for the future.
The ropeway will not only make access easier but also transform tourism, driving economic growth, creating jobs, and revitalizing local communities.
The locals are happy with the rapid development, which has led to a boost in tourism.
