The government has shown interest and made efforts to improve the ecosystem and overall health of the lake. If we focus on rejuvenating Loktak Lake as a Ramsar site, tourism will undoubtedly flourish, as it offers a wealth of unique attractions for visitors.
VO2: With ongoing conservation efforts led by cooperative societies, Loktak Lake is being revived, restoring a balance in its biodiversity.
As a vital freshwater resource in Manipur, the lake supports hydropower, irrigation, and sustains local livelihoods.
