VO1: Imphal city is undergoing a transformational change with the launch of the 51.23-kilometre-long Ring Road project — a major step toward easing the city's chronic traffic congestion. Funded by the Asian Development Bank, the Rs 1,766-crore project spans Imphal East and West districts.
More than just infrastructure, the project champions sustainability and empowerment, featuring electric buses and e-rickshaws operated by women — promoting both green transport and gender inclusivity.

(Translation) Over the past few years, traffic congestion in this market area has been increasing rapidly. Both customers and sellers are facing numerous challenges in this market. However, we believe that the ongoing construction of the ring road is a positive initiative from the government. And when it is completed and opened, we expect that the congestion in the market will be reduced.
VO2: Visible progress is underway, with landfilling and earthwork completed along a 2-kilometre stretch from Khurai Angom Leikai to Tinsid Road and 500 metres beyond. Once completed, the Ring Road is expected to ease congestion around market areas and improve response times for emergency vehicles and public services.

(Translation) This will be quite convenient. The public transport that is currently congested in the Imphal area will experience some relief. The newly constructed ring road is excellent. Moving forward, it will be easier for ambulances to travel during times of illness. Yes, they will be able to access it from this direction as well. At the moment, ambulances heading to Imphal face significant challenges. Traveling by ambulance is rather tough now. If this ring road is established, anyone using the road will be able to travel more quickly.
VO3: For Imphal’s residents, the Ring Road project signifies more than improved connectivity — it embodies efficiency, empowerment, and progress.

(TRANSLATION:) We intend that if individuals wish to travel to a different area of the city without passing through Imphal, there is currently no option available. Therefore, we have devised a plan for a ring road to serve as a bypass. This ring road should be built to ensure that all vehicles avoid traveling through Imphal.
VO4: As construction advances and sustainable transport systems emerge, the city is poised to become smarter, faster, and more inclusive.
