We could also find 7 seven Clans prevailing among some Tribes like Meitei/Meetei since our Forefathers. Such Clans and Sub-clans rituals decides the marriage Taboos between Male and Female in two families.
Let us also referes to two Writers, Mr. Ng. Ngareophung of Phalee Village, in his Booklet - Wung Rampan Khangacha Yan 1998 pages 2-3, 26(17a) and Mr. H. Makangwo Shokvao Village,
Hangva Wungnaobingwui Khamsui ("The Royals" Sceptre. - Hao Naga Customary Law) 2006 pages 15-17 stated that the Hill dwellers and Valley dwellers of Manipur are separated Ethnic groupe,
however they followed the same 7 seven Clans and Sub-clans till date.
